Room 9

Celebrating different cultures at Garden to Table

Room 9 has been busy learning about different cultures during Term 1. We have learnt about some Chinese customs as well as how the new year is celebrated. What a lucky surprise it was when we arrived in the kitchen to discover that we were making steamed buns (yum!). These were seriously good and we had fun making them as well. In the garden we looked at how to use our different senses to recognise ingredients. This was so much fun!!

  1. I am always amazed at the variety of food our Year 2/3 students prepare and cook – looking at the photos I would say steam buns require a lot of concentration and focus! Well done Room 9.
