Spring into spring

The end of August and the start of September signals the transition into the new and exciting season of spring. After a glorious weekend of sunny weather it is a great time to start looking into new gardening projects and start experimenting with lighter, fresher vegetables that you can pick yourself. To be successful in your kitchen make sure that you have a selection of herbs planted such as thyme, rosemary, sage, oregano and parsley. These can be all incorporated into your dishes to help enliven and enhance the flavours.
Another fantastic thing to have in the kitchen is fresh bread. Stay posted to this site as I attempt to create and maintain a wild yeast sourdough culture. Once this sourdough starter is ready you will be able to have the smell of homemade fresh bread floating around your house.
